Eulogy

REBLOG  :  A new writer it appears who found me! After reading a few of her poems, I can she her talent far exceeds mine. Just passing along a beautiful, touching, sad piece that hopefully will capture this poet’s talent. If you have the chance, hop on over.

The Art of Chewing Crayons

yinyang

I remember when you swallowed my heart,
and wore my body as your own.

My skin peaked to your touch and
lungs burned for your breath.

I remember your eyes painted me in rapture
as your fingers drew God in my flesh.

Your voice breached my soul’s cipher
and cast out the disquiet of old wounds.

I remember my birth in your arms
and delight became my shadow

until I died.
